THE changing of the seasons has put a spring in the step of many - and none more so than organisers of a forthcoming horticultural show taking place in Easter Ross this weekend.

Alness Horticultural Society stages its Spring Show on Saturday, March 22 in the Ardross Alness Bowling Club.

Secretary Rhona Begg said: “We have bulbs/cut flowers/ baking/preserves/handicrafts and a children’s section.

“Entries to be staged between 9am and 11am on the day. Doors open to the public at 1pm and there is always our legendary tea, coffee and cakes. Prize giving is at 3pm followed by the draw of the raffle.”
