Alness United midfielder Gordon Finlayson has been named North Caledonian League player of the year.
Finlayson (25), who played for Ross County under-20s before moving to Elgin City and Forres Mechanics, has come to the end of his second campaign with Alness.
“He’s had a great season, the award is well deserved,” said coach Ali Finlayson.
“When he picked up an injury and was out for a few weeks the team just wasn’t the same.
“He’s a big influence and he also chipped in with 11 goals.”
Alness United finished fourth in the North Caledonian League.
