Ross County are currently in ninth place in the Premiership on 35 points. They are three points ahead of Kilmarnock in 10th on 32, four points ahead of Dundee on 31 and nine points ahead of St Johnstone at the bottom on 26.

Ross County kept their place in the Premiership last season after finishing 11th when they defeated Raith Rovers 6-1 on aggregate in the play-off final.

In the 2022/23 season, Ross County needed to come back from three goals down against Partick Thistle and win a penalty shoot-out to keep their place in the Premiership.

The dates for the League One play-offs which could affect Inverness Caledonian Thistle have also been announced.

The play-offs will see the team that finishes in ninth place in League One take on the team that finishes in fourth place in League Two in the semi finals.

The team which finishes third in League Two will take on the team which finishes in second place in League Two in the other semi final.

The winners of each semi final will then face each other in a two legged final for a place in League One next season.

The first leg of the semi finals will take place on Tuesday, May 6 with the second leg taking place on Saturday, May 10.

Kick-off times for the play-off semi finals have yet to be confirmed.

The lowest ranked winning team will then play the first leg of the League One play-off final at home on Tuesday, May 13 at 7.30pm. The second leg of the play-off final will be played on Friday, May 16 at 7.30pm.

Both legs of the play-off final will be televised live on BBC Alba.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle are in eighth place in League One and only above the relegation play-off zone on goal difference following their 4-1 defeat to Queen of the South last weekend.

They are level on 33 points with Annan Athletic, but have a vastly better goal difference of 25 with five games remaining.

Inverness will look to boost their chances of remaining in League One next season when they head to Cove Rangers on Saturday.
