Former Ross County player Davis Keillor-Dunn named in English team of the year for second season in-a-row after starring for Barnsley in League One
A former Ross County player has been named in the English League One team of the year.
Davis Keillor-Dunn had spent time in the Newcastle United, Middlesbrough and Sunderland youth academies before moving north to Dingwall, joining Stuart Kettlewell’s development team in 2016.
He would be part of the squad that lifted the Development League title in the 2016/17 season, making his first team debut at the start of the next campaign.
In two years with County’s first team, he would make 46 appearances across all competitions, scoring six goals.
Keillor-Dunn would also have a loan spell at Falkirk in that time, before moving on permanently to Wrexham, Oldham Athletic, Burton Albion, Mansfield Town and currently Barnsley.
There, the 27-year-old has made an immediate impact, scoring 16 goals in 40 league appearances to be among the division’s top scorers.
That has been enough to earn him a place in the League One team of the year, backing up his appearances in last season’s League Two team of the year with Mansfield.
