After the departure of Philippe Clement last night, former Ibrox skipper Barry Ferguson has been named interim manager until the end of the season.

He will be assisted by Clement’s former number two, Issame Charai, as well as Allan McGregor and ex-Inverness interim manager Neil McCann, as well as former ICT boss Billy Dodds.

Dodds was assistant manager at Ross County under Jim McIntyre from 2014 and 2017. They led the club to their first major trophy winning the League Cup in 2016 beating Hibernian 2-1 in the final.

Dodds would then become manager at Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 2021, leading Inverness to a Scottish Cup final and a play-off final – where his side were level with St Johnstone with 45 minutes left to play – in his two full campaigns in charge.

He has been out of work in football since being sacked by Inverness in September 2023, having started the 2023/24 campaign poorly with ICT sitting bottom of the Championship.
