Dingwall native Jacob Henry is one of 15 Fosroc stage three players that have been aligned to Edinburgh.
The final stage of the Fosroc Academy has undergone a restructuring so that players can work more closely with Scotland’s two professional rugby clubs.
The group of 30 young players will be split evenly between the capital side and Glasgow Warriors, with Henry being included in the Edinburgh-bound selection.
A former Ross Sutherland youth player, Henry played all five matches in the Under-20 Six Nations earlier this year and turned out for Melrose’s Southern Knights in the Super 6.
