Oscars thrash Novar Arms Hotel in Dingwall and District Pool League
NOVAR Arms Hotel A suffered their first league defeat of the season in the Dingwall and District Pool League – the Evanton side crashed to a
9–1 loss at the hands of defending champions Oscars Bar C.
Richie Ansell potted the match winner for the C team in this top of the table clash.
Cromarty Arms moved up to third spot thanks to a 6-4 win over neighbours Royal Hotel Cromarty.
Colin McArthur potted the match winner in the eighth frame.
Ord Arms Hotel's good run came to an abrupt end after a 7-3 loss to Oscars Bar A. Neil Bentley sank the winner in this one.
Dingwall 147 B and Novar Arms Hotel B settled for a point apiece in a 5-5 draw.
Gareth Williams won a nail-biting final frame to earn the B team a welcome point.
Hen House defeated Dingwall 147 A 8-2 in the other match. Daniel MacKay produced a superb six-ball clearance to clinch the points.
