Ross County kicked off their return to the top flight with a comfortable victory over Hamilton Academical.

Joe Chalmers gave the Staggies the lead on the half-hour mark when he curled his shot past Owain Fon Williams from the edge of the box.

Billy McKay doubled their advantage seven minutes later when he found Ross Stewart's cross at the back post for an easy tap-in.

Stewart put the game beyond doubt in the 56th minute when he nodded Josh Mullin's free-kick into the net from close range.
