ROSS COUNTY have unveiled a new midfield signing with international experience.

Darvydas Šernas has 35 caps for Lithuania and has scored five times for his country.

He started his senior career in his native Lithuania back in 2001 with FK Dainava Alytus before a six-year stint with FK Vtra, based in the nation's capital, Vilnius.

The well-travelled midfielder has also played in Turkey and Poland in addition to a more recent loan spell with Perth Glory in Australia last year.

Šernas made himself an instant hit with the Perth fans, scoring three minutes after being substituted into the game on his debut.

He has more recently played over the last year for Polish outfit, Wigry Suwaki.

He has appeared for his country since 2008.

Ross County manager Jim McIntyre said: "I am delighted to welcome Darvydas to the club. He has 35 international caps for Lithuania under his belt, bringing a wealth of experience to the squad.”
