Ex-Kilmarnock and Motherwell striker Erwin signs for Ross County

Striker Lee Erwin has become Ross County's seventh summer signing after the ex-Kilmarnock forward put pen to paper on a two-year deal.

Erwin, 25, broke into senior football at Motherwell before earning a move to Leeds United.

He returned to Scottish football in 2017, signing for Kilmarnock, before taking on a new adventure in Iran last summer.

That move did not work out for him though, and he was keen to return home when the Staggies came calling.

Erwin will compete for a starting spot with Billy Mckay, Ross Stewart and Brian Graham in Dingwall.

Co-manager Stuart Kettlewell was delighted to bring Erwin to the club, telling the Ross County website: “Lee has seen a lot of the game for such a young player.

"He has played in the lower leagues in Scotland as well as the Premiership. He has played in the lower leagues in England as well as the Championship.

"That itself tells you he knows what it takes to work your way to the top and we fully expect him to work his way to his best here and try and compete for a position in the starting 11.”
