Ross County confirm defender Josh Reid has left Dingwall to join Partick Thistle on loan for the rest of the season
Ross County have confirmed the exit of Josh Reid on loan for the rest of the season.
The Staggies academy graduate initially broke through in Dingwall in 2020, earning a move to Coventry City midway through that campaign.
After struggling to make the breakthrough into the senior set-up at the Coventry Building Society Arena, Reid would return home to the Highlands in the summer of 2023, making 33 appearances for the club since then.
However, with George Harmon becoming the first choice left wing back in the early part of this season, and the likes of Zac Ashworth and Eli Campbell deputising, game time looked limited for Reid across the remainder of the current campaign.
As a result, he has joined Partick Thistle on loan for the rest of the season.
Partick lost their first choice left-sided defender Harry Milne to Hearts for an undisclosed fee on deadline day in the winter transfer window.

The Jags remain in the promotion hunt in the Championship, occupying the final play-off spot as they bid to return to the top flight for the first time since 2018.
Partick Thistle manager Kris Doolan told the club’s media team: “With Charlie Sayers and Harry Milne both departing in January, it was pretty clear we needed reinforcements at left back.
“The loan market can be a tricky one to work in but we feel Josh will be a very strong addition to the squad.
“He fits the mould of what we want from that position: he’s a strong runner, a committed defender and someone who isn’t afraid to put the ball in the box for the attackers.
“We’re really looking forward to working with him for the remainder of the season.”
