The 23-year-old has had a meteoric rise to become the Staggies number one, signing as a free agent at the start of December after Ross Laidlaw suffered an injury.

Although initially coming in as cover for Jack Hamilton, Amissah quickly earned his place in the starting 11 and is yet to be dislodged.

In that time, he has made 12 appearances for County, keeping four clean sheets.

Now, he has put pen to paper on a new two-year contract that commits his future to the Staggies until at least the summer of 2027.

Manager Don Cowie said: “We are delighted that Jordi has extended his stay at the club by signing a new deal.

“He has been a great addition to the group since joining in December and has given us excellent competition in the goalkeeping area.”
