Ross County manager Don Cowie delighted with how striker Ronan Hale is playing in his debut season with the Staggies in Scottish Premiership
MANAGER Don Cowie says he has been delighted with the impact Ronan Hale has made in front of goal since arriving at Ross County this season.
The 26-year-old who arrived in Dingwall from Northern Irish club Cliftonville in the summer, scored twice in the 3-0 win over Motherwell at Fir Park on Saturday.
The double has brought his total up to eight goals this season, with four goals in his last three matches.
Cowie says Hale has had to make the transition from part time to full time football, but is delighted with how effective he has been this season.
Cowie said: “Ronan has come from part time football so we have had to manage his minutes. But he has had a massive impact for us this season and getting two important goals. Four goals in his last three appearances and he will be happy with that.”
Hale scored twice for the Staggies along with a Connor Randall strike as they picked up all three points which moved them into 10th place on 29 points.
They are now one point ahead of Dundee on 28 who lost 2-1 to Aberdeen. They have also gone eight points clear of bottom of the table St Johnstone as they lost 3-1 to Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.
The victory has also put Ross County within two points of Kilmarnock in sixth place with seven matches before the split.
It is also Ross County’s fourth away win of the season with their 3-0 win at Dundee on Boxing Day their first win on the road in 481 days.
They followed that up with wins at Kilmarnock and Aberdeen in January.
Cowie says he was delighted with another victory on the road as they prepare to face Dundee in Dingwall on Saturday.
He said: “It is an important victory and it carries on our good form away from home four wins from five. I am delighted with the clean sheet and overall it was an excellent team performed.
“We concentrate on ourselves, we were eager to get the three points but that is what we did. We will analyse the game what we did well and what we could do better and then focus on next week against Dundee.”
